Madrid City Spain Capital

Madrid is the capital of Spain with the population of 3.3 million in the city, while it is 6.5 million in the metropolitan area. It comprises an area of 604.3 square km. After London and Berlin, it’s the 3rd largest in European Union. It is the home of Spanish Royal Family and a center of Spain’s government too. Being the center of the country geographically, it is connected to every major city and is surrounded by striking mountains. The community comprises of Castile-La Macha and Castile and Leon. The climate is mostly dry in summers with maximum temperature of 29Cº and minimum in winters of 4Cº.

The city remained to be a popular tourist destination offering the ancient culture of Spain. It is full of palaces, monuments, museums, and statues. From golf to Skiing, Madrid is very sport enthusiastic, offering sports events and matches throughout the year.

Spanish snack, Tapa, is very popular dish among the tourists. The night life is also very active.

Remains of Ancient building, Templo de Debod is an old Egyptian temple which was renovated. He other medieval buildings are towers of San pedro el Viejo Church and San Nicolas.

Madrid also contains the WTO’s (World Tourism Organization) headquarters under UNO (United Nation Organization).

The streets of Madrid City are an outdoor museum itself, displaying outdoor sculptures which highlights the era of Rome. It does possess new infrastructure, still the government is very caeful about preserving the historic features and specialties of the city. Some other major Landmarks includes the National Library Building, Opera House, Buen Retiro Park, Golden triangle of Art, Prado Museum, Museo National Centro de Arte Reina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum.

Madrid offers all the magic and enchantment, a city embodying excitement and romance in it. Once a tourist visits Madrid, the city never loses the attractive energy to remain in their minds.
